Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
- 16 ounces of cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 orange
Instructions
With a zester or microplane grater remove the outer rind of the orange, leaving the white pith on the orange and reserve. Cut the Orange in half and squeeze juice through a strainer into a container and reserve.
In a saucepan bring water and sugar to a boil. Add cranberries, reserved orange juice and orange zest. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until cranberries are tender and skins are slipping off.
Transfer to container with a lid and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Optional:
For a sugar-free version, you can substitute orange juice concentrate for the sugar.
