Turmeric Tea

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled and grated (or 1/2 Tsp of dried)
- 1 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1/8 tsp of dried)
- 3 black peppercorns
- 1/2 tablespoon local honey
- 1 cup milk (or nut milk)
- 1 bag of Black Tea
- 1 cardamom pod
Instructions
In a small pan over low heat, add water, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns and honey. Bring to a simmer, then pour in milk, and add the teabag. When the milk is steaming, use a spoon to taste and add more honey to taste. Pour through a strainer directly into your favorite cup and enjoy.
Tip: Don't steep the teabag for more than five minutes to avoid a bitter taste.
