Jam Fool
Created by Martha StewartServes: 4 – 6
Course: Desserts
Diet: Vegetarian
Season(s): Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cold heavy cream*
- 1 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup fruit jam
Instructions
*For an even faster dessert you can use one cup of ready-made whipped cream, but remember that it will make the finished dessert much sweeter so consider using fresh or frozen fruit in place of the jam.
Whip heavy cream in a large bowl until it forms soft peaks. Gently fold in the yogurt. (Here is Martha Stewart on how to "fold" ingredients. It's an easy kitchen technique that protects the tiny bubbles in the whipped cream so the final mixture is airy and light.) Spoon the jam on top and swirl it into the mixture, leaving streaks. Divide the dessert evenly among four glasses and refrigerate for an hour before serving. May be made a day ahead and refrigerated, covered. Serve cold, decorated with a sugar cookie if you have one handy.
