Common Hands Farm is located just outside Philmont on 140 acres of beautiful farm land. This farm is dedicated to serving their community with fresh organic & biodynamic produce.
Dan's passion for working and learning with others is one thing that inspired him to start Common Hands Farm. “There is so much beauty and possibility in merging organic farming with the health of our local communities, I feel blessed to be part of this movement,” says Dan.
Keri has been farming for 4 years, after working in the food industry since she was a teenager. Having grown up in the Hudson Valley, she is passionate about changing the food systems in this area, and bringing access to healthy food into our community, while helping others connect with nature.
Common Hands Farm grows over 100 crops on their 140 acre farm. Some of their favorites include:
Beets, broccoli, broccoli raab, cabbage, napa cabbage, carrots, collard greens, cucumbers, daikon radish, Spanish black radish, eggplant, ground cherries, provider beans, dragon tongue beans, kohlrabi, curly kale, leeks, lettuce heads and cut greens, melons, mustard greens, lacinato kale, okra, onions, scallions, shallots, parsnips, microgreens, peppers (bell, sweet and hot), potatoes, radicchio, scarlet turnips, hakurei turnips, rainbow radishes, snap and snow peas, spinach, swiss chard, tomatoes (heirloom varieties), sun-chokes, purple and green tomatillos, purple top turnips, fingerling potatoes, zucchini, cilantro, parsley, basil, dill, sage, tarragon, oregano, rosemary, etc…
