In 2011, when Christine Kelly (CK) began running the cafe at Skydive the Ranch in Gardiner, NY, she had no idea of the impact her sangria recipe would have. The cafe was known for good meals during the day and a lively nightlife scene after sunset. Amidst the music and dancing, CK started mixing up large batches of her sangria for guests. She couldn't make it fast enough, the skydiver patrons loved the sangria so much. Since then, CK and her partner Tom Falzone have brought Freefall Sangria by Liquid Altitude to events throughout the U.S. and fans have carried it with them around the world. CK and Tom serve the drink chilled and with a playful warning: Sip it slow and sip it long - dare to drink different!
As demand increased, CK and Tom were encouraged to expand their operation. So they made the leap, and moved production out of the basement of their old farmhouse to the base of the Shawangunk Mountains. Here in their next chapter, Freefall Sangria is becoming an after-hours staple at dropzones, backyard BBQs, and parties.
Freefall Red Sangria is a bold blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Baco Noir, all made from New York-grown grapes. The wine is infused with berries and stone fruits and a splash of citrus and spiked with liquor, resulting in a not-so-sweet traditional style sangria.
Freefall White Sangria is made from a blend of Seyval and Vidal Blanc wines from New York and California and orchard and tropical fruits, plus the extra kick of liquor.
