Nate and Charlie graduated from college not so long ago and found themselves heading out into the world in some very uncertain times. Instead of being discouraged, it inspired them to follow their passions and reach out to the world with something just about everyone likes: sandwiches. Hand Held Kitchen was created to unite high quality service and sandwiches. But far from being just any thrown-together sandwich, Nate and Charlie start their creations by baking their own bread and making their own pickles. Whenever possible, the fillings are sourced locally from small farms of the Hudson Valley and the greater tri-state area to create a sustainable and seasonal menu. The result is fresh, home-style sandwiches that share the abundance of local and fresh foods available in Westchester County. Not just a business venture, the founders see Hand Held Kitchens as an opportunity to give back to the local farms and businesses that support the community.
