Oy Vey Osteria was started by Luca and Samantha, a newly married couple living and baking in Queens, NY.
Their love of quality food and interest in history and community led them in the direction of a home bakery where they can create food inspired by their cultures and share it with the community.
A little about their backgrounds; Luca’s love for cooking started at his grandmother’s home bakery in Sardinia. He has been working as a chef for over 10 years. He left the restaurant world to reconnect with his love of cooking. When Luca isn’t baking he is either taking unforgettable photographs of food or just creating amazing media content.
Samantha’s love of food also comes from her childhood, growing up with her grandmothers’ home-cooked traditional Jewish food. When she isn’t baking she is making art and teaching.
